Devotions for Moms: “Mom Life” Week in Photos

An Instagram-ready, picture-perfect mom life does not exist in real life. There is no such thing as a perfect mom. There is no such thing as perfect kids. Pretending we have the secret formula to raising obedient children is not helpful. Are there really three easy steps to making babies sleep through the night? Should we really try to potty train our child in three days?

Mom life is messy. Parenting is Messy. And life doesn't look like the picture-perfect world of Facebook.Click To Tweet

What we see on Facebook is the highlight reel: those moments of smiling children, carefree moms, and family memories. These moments are great, but there is so much more to tell.

Being a mom is a joy-filled, crazy, awesome adventure. Don’t we want to look back and remember it all? The joy and the stress, the energy and the exhaustion, the chaos and the love. God bless our mess.
